Jan Johnson is the Founder, President and CEO of Chief’s Choice. Jan started Chief’s Choice in 2005 using a family secret recipe. He has been making caramel candy for the past four years while enhancing the original formula. He finally felt it was time to share this wonderful gourmet product with the entire world.
Mr. Johnson spent nearly 21 years in the United States Army. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer Four thus the name “Chief’s Choice”.
He served in multiple assignments across the globe to include the Persian Gulf War in 1990 – 1991. He was a member of the Quartermaster Corps and retired at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, having served with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Other major units he served with included: VII Corps, 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized), 11th Signal Brigade and the 21st Support Command.
His military awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal and numerous others.
Chief's Choice is a certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and is recognized accordingly by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA).
